అటేష్గ అగ్ని దేవాలయం,బాకు,అజర్బైజాన్.

బాకు అటేష్గ లేదా అగ్ని దేవాలయం గా పిలవబడే ఈ ప్రాచీన హిందూ ఆలయం జ్వాలా కు అంకితం చేయబడింది. ఇది ఒక అద్భుతమైన ,గొప్పనైన దేవాలయం,బాకు,అజర్బైజాన్ లో ఉంది.
ఇది ఒకప్పుడు జొరస్ట్రియాన్ లు పూజించే అగ్ని ని అటాష్ గా పెర్షియన్ భాషలో పిలిచేవారు.

నాలుగు పవిత్ర విషయాలు స్థానికులు విశ్వసిస్తారు.
1)అటేషి అనగా అగ్ని అని,
2)బడి అంటే గాలి అని,
3)అబి అంటే నీరు అని,
4)హేకి అంటే భూమి అని పవిత్రం గా భావిస్తారు.

ఒక పంచకోణాకార సముదాయం సన్యాసులకోసం, ఒక టెట్రా స్థంభం మధ్యలో,ఇవి 17 మరియు 18 వ శతాబ్దాలలో నిర్మించారు.కానీ,1883 తరువాత పెట్రోలియం చెట్ల ను పెంచడం మొదలైన తరువాత ఆలయం లో పూజలు నిర్వహించడం ఆపేశారు. ఈ సముదాయాన్ని 1975 లో  ఒక వైజ్ఞానిక శాల(మ్యూజియం)గా మార్చేశారు.

అక్కడ కొన్ని శాసనాలు అటేష్గ మీద మనం చూడవచ్చు.అవన్నీ కూడా అయితే సంస్కృతం లో లేదా పంజాబీ లో ఉన్నాయి అందులో ఒక్కటే పెర్షియన్ శాసనం ఉన్నది.అది సంస్కృత శాసనం కింద ఉంది.అది గణేశ మరియు జ్వాలా గా చెప్తారు.

Ateshgah Fire Temple in Baku, Azerbaijan

Baku Ateshgah  or “Fire Temple” is an ancient Hindu religious temple dedicated to Jwala Ji in Surakhani, a suburb of greater Baku, Azerbaijan.
It was initially thought to be a Zoroastrian fire worship place as “Atash”  is the Persian word for fire.

Four holy elements of local people belief were: ateshi (fire), badi (air), abi (water), and heki (earth).

A pentagonal complex, which has a courtyard surrounded by cells for monks and a tetrapillar-altar in the middle, was built during the 17th and 18th centuries but temple ceased to be worshiped after 1883 with the installation of petroleum plants (industry) at Surakhany. The complex was turned into a museum in 1975.

There are several inscriptions on the Ateshgah. They are all in either Sanskrit or Punjabi, with the exception of one Persian inscription that occurs below an accompanying Sanskrit invocation to Lord Ganesha and Jwala Ji.
